Conference Closing

Discusses conference Closing and evaluates key implications for security practitioners.

Summary

Closing Ceremony Format

This SAINTCON closing session thanks organizers, sponsors, presenters, and volunteers. The chair notes it was the conference's strongest content year, with record presentation submissions nearly filling the schedule without heavy recruiting.

Badge Team Recognition

Compy Kid Mike receives special recognition for engineering the conference badge, including a Raspberry Pi Pico clue game requiring extensive design effort. He now also contributes to DEF CON badges. Next year's badge will emphasize interactive gameplay between attendees.

Community Events

The session highlights new programming like a Family Night vent event for sharing difficult workplace stories, evening Hack in the Box keynotes across the street, and sponsor contributions enabling badges, refreshments, and upgraded Centricom network bandwidth that exceeded prior capacity limits.

Ongoing Community

Attendees are encouraged to join the conference Discord for year-round engagement, continuing SAINTCON's community beyond the annual event.
